Local Market Goodies

We have strolled various markets in Lagos and partnered with local sellers, to offer you hand picked products made with love.

Abigail & Bolanle

Two young women, Bolanle and Abigail, had a dream to start their own Ankara business, and they made it a reality. By coincidence, we discovered their workshop when an exquisite Ankara hat displayed outside drew our attention. Once we stepped inside and started a conversation, we heard their inspiring story and saw the exceptional quality of their products. We were immediately captivated by their work and motivated to establish a business relationship with them. Bolanle and Abigail are incredibly talented, commercially savvy, and bring unparalleled quality and innovation to all their Ankara fashion products. Explore their unique collection and experience the best of Nigerian craftsmanship.

Local talent

We partner with local talented seamstresses and seamsters to support multiple individuals and positively impact more lives. This process begins with selecting high-quality African fabrics. Africa'Share visits various markets and buys from different sellers to spread the support. We then ask our skilled seamstresses and seamsters to sew various handmade designs, such as pillowcases, shopping bags, dresses, and scrunchies.

One of the talents we work with is Halimah, a 23-year-old student at Ekiti State University, studying to become a medical physiologist. When Sharon met Halimah, she learned that Halimah’s university was on strike, causing a delay in her studies despite having paid tuition. Fortunately, Halimah is also an excellent seamstress, and our partnership allows her to pursue her passion for sewing while earning an income for herself and her family. Explore our collection of beautifully crafted African designs and support local artisans like Halimah.
